Job Opportunity: Support Staff Member at Midwives of Brampton and Halton Hills
Midwives of Brampton and Halton Hills is a well-established midwifery practice, delivering midwifery care to a diverse clientele in the Brampton and Halton Hills area. We are currently in search of a dependable, diligent, and personable individual to join our dedicated support staff team.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by:
- Welcoming clients with warmth and professionalism, answering incoming calls, and promptly responding to emails.
- Managing the appointment system, handling booking, rescheduling, and confirmation of client appointments, ensuring seamless scheduling for both clients and midwives.
- Overseeing the intake process for incoming clients, including creating electronic records, reviewing client information, and organizing essential documentation.
- Coordinating with other healthcare providers and facilitating client consultations, maintaining a smooth flow of communication and information.
- Organizing client information sessions, promoting understanding and engagement among our clientele.
- Playing an essential role in the effective functioning of our office, including office maintenance, supply ordering, and light cleaning duties.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- A comprehensive understanding of midwifery care and strong commitment to assisting midwives in delivering top-tier care and services to our valued clients.
- Proficiency in managing electronic medical records, particularly using OSCAR.
- Proven experience in a medical office environment, demonstrating strong administrative skills.
- Training or certification in Medical Office Administration or a related Health Services program will be considered an asset.
- Comfort with various computer programs and applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Exceptional communication skills, encompassing both written and oral abilities.
- Excelling in an independent working environment, demonstrating a keen eye for detail, even in a fast-paced setting.
- A self-motivated, adaptable learner, ready to take on new challenges.
- Multilingual skills or knowledge of languages other than English are highly regarded.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Wage: $22/hour
Weekly Hours: 32 hours per week
Benefits: Pending review after 3 months of employment
Start Date: Training to commence in December and regular hours to begin in January 2024.
